 Starting the competition

3 Steps to Start

1.Invite us to give you a project presentation
2. Children compose a new song.
3. Hold a Showcase or event evening.

Many children like music, particularly pop music. Children form their own pop groups but need an outlet to test their skills.

This competition gives young composers, singers and artists a chance to try out their talents in public.

                                                                Your school ?

Is your school better than others in Music ?? If so, go for it! Have a competition! See who's best in your area or county!

How does your school enter the Competition?

Has your school ever had a talent show or play ?
Well, this competition is a
"Talent Show"!

All you have to do is compete against other schools in your county.
Easy, isn't it ?

 As the number of schools taking part increases, we can start to set up
a series of 'HEATS'. county-wide.

It doesn't have to be run by the school. Children can enter by forming "Out of school groups" or as "solo performers". In entering, they should state which school they represent having already asked permission from parents and their Head Teacher. Remember that the music or song should be performed at the school at a "Talent Show", so the show must be organized like a school concert showcase. For this you can make a small charge on the door, monies raised to help your own community.

Age groups 5 to 19 years old!

Children, want to be a pop star? Calling all songwriters and singers, this is your Show. Have fun!

HOW YOUR TALENT SHOW CAN HAPPEN!

                                        To 'Showcase' your song(s),
                                         you can have any combination of  the following:-

*Talents Shows
                                                                    * School concerts
               * Musicals

or simply tag your song at the end of a school play. making less work for busy teachers and staff.

But if you are serious about the competition, then it's best to compose a few new songs to be reviewed by parents and teachers.

The best "winning song" is then put forward to represent your school.

Don't forget a small entrance fee at the doors to help the project and your own local community.
